Paying
Fees
PAYING FEES?
Participating in Model United Nations conferences involves several fees. Conference fees are the sole responsibility of the participating member. We're here to help make this process less daunting as possible.
Financial
Assistance
The Students' Union and the Leadership and Student Engagement provide funding for students to participate in academic conferences and competitions (i.e. entrance fees, travel, accommodation etc.). These are highly lucrative grants, so we highly recommend that you apply to them as early as possible.
NOTE: A STUDENT MAY ONLY RECEIVE FUNDING FROM ONE OF THESE SOURCES
Students are eligible to receive up to two (2) Travel and Conference funds per academic year, each fund is a maximum of $250.00.
Contact: travelconference@su.ucalgary.ca
Within a single twelve-month time period, students will be awarded funding only once. The maximum amount students are eligible for in that time period is $500.
